ROMANS 6:4 AMP

We looked at the Resurrection as a whole on Easter Sunday. You can not have Salvation, freedom, eternal life, hope, faith, Heaven without a Resurrection. Jesus defeated death, hell and the grave.
Last week we looked at the death as the beginning of the process of resurrection. Remember we watched the seed video and how the the container or shell of the seed had to buried and it had to die in order to release the life that was inside of the shell. Spiritually we must undergo a spiritual death of our flesh in order to release the Spirit, the life of God inside of us to grow out of us.

The stage we will look at today is The Restore stage. This is the stage where Jesus came back to life. The Restoration of Life from death. This is the New Life, or Born Again stage.

After Jesus was resurrected from the tomb He was not the same. He physically died so that really death is not the end for us. His death means our life. Not just heaven life, but Heaven down here on the ground. He was not the same as who went in and who came out.

“‘ Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” MATTHEW 6:10 AMP
The Resurrected Life is a New Life.

Before Jesus we were in darkness, we were lost, remember? WE had no hope, we were broken, hurting, lost, loosing. We were controlled by hate, anger, greed, lust, bitterness. We were slaves to all these things. Slaves are controlled and have no rights. WE were selfish, uncaring, cold. Remember how we lived, it was not living, it was survival. Just like the animal world. Kill or be killed. That is how the world operates. WE do not those who have been born again and resurrected with Jesus Christ. We live with His Spirit who leads and guides us. We follow His Word and His Spirit. Remember, Faith, Hope and Love these are how we do life and live a resurrected lifestyle.

Ephesians 2:1-10. “And you [He made alive when you] were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of your transgressions and sins, in which you once walked. You were following the ways of this world [influenced by this present age], in accordance with the prince of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit who is now at work in the disobedient [the unbelieving, who fight against the purposes of God]. Among these [unbelievers] we all once lived in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by the sinful self], indulging the desires of human nature [without the Holy Spirit] and [the impulses] of the [sinful] mind. We were, by nature, children [under the sentence] of [God’s] wrath, just like the rest [of mankind]. But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace–His undeserved favor and mercy–you have been saved from God’s judgment). And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus, [and He did this] so that in the ages to come He might [clearly] show the immeasurable and unsurpassed riches of His grace in [His] kindness toward us in Christ Jesus [by providing for our redemption]. For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above–spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”

What is different here is when we receive Christ as our Saviour we receive His Holy Spirit which lives inside of us. This is the part that is telling you, screaming at you, whispering to you to shut up, stop it, humble yourself, The spirit of the Living God is living inside of you, you have a conscience now. This Spirit whispers don’t be afraid Trust Your God. He screams don’t listen to them, don’t get drawn into their life style. He screams don’t live like that or this will happen. He tells you to love and forgive. He tells you the way you acting is not right or pleasing to God.

This is how you know you have His Spirit Living Inside You.

Romans 6:4 we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways].”

We have been resurrected with Jesus. It is now our choice to choose to grow and learn to obey, follow His Ways. The Spirit does not control us, we have to choose by our free will to give ourselves over to the leading of the Spirit. Many people make this super weird and it is not.

It’s not weird or freaky it is just living this life listen to Your God’s Voice from within you. You have a choice to listen and obey and be blessed or not. You have a choice to follow God Spirit or follow your head and flesh. God gave us knowledge, He gave us wisdom but much of His Powerful Resurrected Truths seem so crazy and unreal to our natural flesh. Love and pray and bless your enemies. Giving brings increase. We are creative beings so we can speak Life or death.

To walk habitually in newness of life (abandoning our old ways.)

“However, brothers and sisters, I could not talk to you as to spiritual people, but [only] as to worldly people [dominated by human nature], mere infants [in the new life] in Christ! I fed you with milk, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Even now you are still not ready. You are still worldly [controlled by ordinary impulses, the sinful capacity]. For as long as there is jealousy and strife and discord among you, are you not unspiritual, and are you not walking like ordinary men [unchanged by faith]?”
