THE DEATH:

Robert Flatt wrote, “The Resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter my circumstances.”

“When we were baptized, we were buried with Christ and shared his death. So, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the wonderful power of the Father, we also can live a new life.”
Romans 6:4 NCV

“We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways].”
ROMANS 6:4 AMP

This month is our Theme is the Resurrected Life. Last week we celebrated the day people call Easter I call Resurrection Sunday. The day we as Christians celebrate the fact Jesus rose from the dead.

In order to have Resurrection which means bring something back to life you must have death.

Death is something most people don’t like talking about. To most people death is seen as pain, loss, over, the end of something. When we are thinking about Resurrection death is not over, death is not the end, but it is the beginning of something Amazing. Death is the start of a fresh New Beginning. Death is the start of a brand new life.

Let’s look at the process of a seed. A seed just as a seed has potential life within it, but can not grow anything till it is planted. The seed must be planted and in this stage the outer shell or container dies, opens up to release the life, plant to emerge from a seed to a plant or tree. It’s essentially died to itself! It ceases to be a seed in order that the plant would live, it can no longer find it’s identity in that of it’s old self, a seed. And in this way, it has died, it has ceased to exist as it’s original self.

Hold on, the seed, no longer finds it’s identity in the old self a seed. It has ceased to exist as it’s original self. Remember Jesus said we are buried with Him thru baptism of death. This is just the process of the seed. We were these seeds so much potential but alone we could not grow or become what He created us to be. The natural man and woman must be buried in Jesus in order for the new man and women to die and release the powerful potential of Christ that is within us.

As a Christian i do not identify with the old seed. The enemy or my past tries to take me back but i say no.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”

The seed had to be planted, buried with Jesus and the new life or born of the Spirit was attached to Jesus, grafted in. New Creature, reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit, The old things have passed away. We use the term passed away as a term for death. The liar, the fearful, the bitter, the looser, the failure has passed away.

There are things that should die, like fear. Fear has to die in order for faith to come alive. When they plant an acorn seed in the ground the outer shell dies and the life inside it, the oak tree pushes thru the old seed and the ground that it is buried in and pushes its way up and thru the ground till it breaks thru and is above the ground. It pushes up farther and farther up towards the sun and its roots go deeper and deeper and they spread out drawing water and nutrients to supply the oak tree with water and power to grow. Buried with Christ, drawing out water and power from Jesus growing closer to God.

Within us is this powerful Holy Spirit the life of God.

Death, maybe somethings have died, like your dreams, hopes, beliefs, relationships, remember death is not the end but the beginning of something brand new. New Life.

Jesus called Lazarus who was dead back to life. Jesus was resurrected back to life. Death is only a state in time with God, it is not the end of anything. Death is the beginning to something brand new. Jesus stood at the tomb of Lazarus and spoke and called Him to come forth out of the tomb.

The tomb for most is the end, the final resting place but for God the tomb is the waiting place. Waiting to be called back to the living. What’s dead in your tomb that God is speaking to you to call back to life. Dreams, business, relationships, level of health, level of success, higher level of influence.

Many times we do like Mary and Martha when Lazarus died they tried to rush Jesus there before He died. Death is not the same with our Lord as it is with humans.

It’s become something far different, and lives a new kind of life.  From the “potential” of life that is contained within the seed comes a new life, capable of producing fruit.  Where a seed cannot produce fruit, it’s plant form can.  It can’t do this on it’s own, though, it needs to be planted, nurtured, and nourished.
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone [just one grain, never more]. But if it dies, it produces much grain and yields a harvest.”
JOHN 12:24 AMP

Unless the seed is planted into the earth and dies is the only way to produce more than you are alone by yourself. You and I can not produce the fruit of the Spirit unless we are buried with Christ. In Him is the only way to produce the increase. In this scripture it shows the multiplication principle.

Principle is a rule, law, guideline or fact. Increase, fruit must come from a seed that is planted and dies to its original self. Maybe this is why so many people don’t have real increase or very fruitful.

I know this to be true in surrendering to God with our whole life. God says die to your self or flesh and live in Me. Yet we see our flesh still fighting to control. If your original self does not die, your God potiential powerful life will not be released. Offering time comes, God says tithe, Give me your tithe and offering and I will release from an open window in Heaven that you could not contain it all. But our self is afraid, so when it come time we say no. I will give an offering a token but not my tithe and offering. To give like God says to give means you trust Him and His Power and His Ways. To not means we still put our trust in us that is why fear and doubt and unbelief still control our seed. WE plant certain seeds like for salvation, but there are other seeds for things like hope, patience, joy, success, increase, love, forgiveness, notice where you have not surrendered the seed you will not nor will you produce increase or harvest in that area. WE surrender parts of us, not all of us. The release is surrender your whole being to God and die to your flesh so God/Holy Spirit can emerge from within you.

True Surrender the Lord says will produce much more seeds and yield a harvest. It’s all about obedience. When will I obey Him? When I obey Him see the benefits.

Produce much more seeds and yields a harvest.

I think the reason we see struggle in marriages, family, finances, health, emotional, mental, spiritual is because we struggle to trust God totally so we hold back our seed.

2 Corinthians 5:18. “But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ [making us acceptable to Him] and gave us the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to Him]”
